Hello, everyone.

I recently joined a webtoon contest and it's on the judging phase now. Turns out that 40% of the criteria is audience participation. So I would like to advertise here (hope it's okay) my webtoon. Please go check it out if you have time.

As thanks, if you give a heart (like button) and/or sub and/or honest comment on the WebToon site, I will give:

[A] points :points: , or

[B] raid your dA gallery with faves :+fav: and comments :shoutbox: , or

[C] (last one remaining) award a hype badge to your chosen own artwork (those who post a comment on WebToon can avail this), or

[D] doodle you any character you request :#1: , or

[E] (last 2 remaining) 1-month core membership :handshake: (this is for those who went to the trouble of giving an honest comment + like + sub on WebToon site. Rating is optional).

Just let me know which one you'd like in return for going to the WebToon site.

F2U: Pink Neko Blob Icon Here's the link: Exception - 1 | HellRaiser (Call to Action) (webtoons.com) F2U: Pink Neko Blob Icon

Don't worry. It's SFW. Fully colored. Not a long read.

Btw, the like button is right after the last page. Only hit it if you did enjoy my work though. :)

Here's a closed forum thread that may serve as proof of me returning the favor:

Forum: You help me, I help you. | DeviantArt

EDIT: Separated option [E] from [A]. :)

EDIT #2: I can't give any more Diamond Badges ^^; (I ran out of Fragments haha!) But I can still give points and core memberships. I'll edit this journal again when I run out of juice. I'll come up with something else that's worth your while.

So.. yeah. We're soon getting a continuation to my adapted manga called "Birth in Moonlight"

It won't be in manga form though. At least, not yet.

I'm busy with RL stuff so I can't set up my drawing gear for now... that's why the continuation will be in Light Novel form. Yes, in prose form.

I'll restart "Birth in Moonlight" and rename it "Renatus" (Latin for 'rebirth'). Chapters are on ScribbleHub right now but I'll repost them here on dA too.

"Renatus" LN will start the same way as "Birth in Moonlight" oneshot manga. If you've read the latter, you can skip the first 10 chapters of the former. Here's what I say though: You'll miss out on extra tidbits from the LN.

Anyway, I'll post another Journal when "Lac de Luna" (the original title of BiM's sequel) is up.

P.S.

Credits to TenkoSama9 for the source material. He wrote the original "Birth in Moonlight" and "Lac de Luna" in prose.

Japan I

7 min read
It's been a week since I got here Flag of Japan . I can safely say I've settled fine but temperature-wise, I'm still trying to adapt (comparing to my tropical home country Flag of Philippines , it's cold here and winter/snow hasn't come yet :shivering: v2 ).

Without further ado, here are some pics for youuuu!

A shrine near Shin-Okubo station.
I was surprised to see something like this in the busy streets of Shinjuku. But look at the torii!!

A Japanese shrine is not without a well.
I didn't use it though, fearing that there might be some unwritten rule about gaijin not being allowed.
Or, I might offend everybody in case I did the cleansing ritual wrong. :worries:

A Shinto Temple Bell.
Where the locals go to make a wish and pay their respects. Pray

This guardian statue reminds me of Tokyo Ravens. If you watched that anime, remember Alpha and Omega? :D

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Is this where people hang their wishes for their Shinto gods to read when they visit the mortal realm?

I have no idea what any of these means. I can't read Japanese -- my main grievance here.

Grocery time! E05: Granny's Basket Curio
I actually don't have a lot of grocery items photos taken but let's go~

Sorry for the slightly blurred capture.
I was looking for some rice because, you know, us Asians mostly can't eat a meal without rice in it.
But, to this one item, I say "MGGGAAAAH! OVER MY DEAD BODY!" RUNSIES
You know you wouldn't want to eat this product too (unless you like getting your mouth and tongue scorched hot.)

255 Yen? For a little measure of these lovely daing/tuyo (Ilocano/Filipino word for dried salty fish)????!
That's freaking hefty compared to its price and quantity in the Philippines. :faint:
Awww, now I miss dem Ilocano daing.

Gotta love the honesty and politeness of Japanese people.
You see, you can park your bike anywhere to the side and not lock/chain it at all. You don't have to worry about
bike-thieves -- they don't exist! You actually don't have to worry about thieves in general. There are little to no
cases of robbery/thievery here, as far as I've gathered.

The famous-for-being-busy Shibuya Crossing (video clip that I took last night).
(I don't have a pic of Hachiko's statue yet.)

Now, now...

I didn't come here to goof off. (But coming as a tourist would still be cool.) I came here to work as a game developer -- my dream job! I still can't believe it. The workplace is fun. The workmates are great -- we're mostly gaijin (Japanese word for foreigners) from differing countries; talk about United Nations. The tasks are fun (although it can still get hard at some point when the game engine decides to act up and we have the urge to whack it; typical of programmers' many dilemma).

I've got too much work to do. Unfortunately, I can't post here some pictures of the company as there might be confidential information captured in the photos.

In my free time here, I don't usually go out and roam around (until I find dem manga stores). In those times, I usually just stay in my room and do chores (adulting, right?) and when I'm done, I... miss drawing. Wacom Intuos Manga Icon  Yep, I can't draw for HellRaiser nor any gift art right now. Can't even code for Little Red (my supposed-to-be-upcoming game).

20191020 190321 by ReGaSLZR Because my laptop's screen broke. I dropped my backpack it was in and dang, now the screen has cracks to the side and it blinks pinkish every 3 seconds. My poor baby Asus! :crying: I'm sorry your mistress is such a baka!

I shall get you fixed though. Just need to find a replacement screen at Akihabara.
I guess I know now where my next adventure lies.

Before this post, you might have read a journal entry about me in my darkest moment. I decided to remove it for its suicidal content and supreme negativity. I'm glad I did.

But I'm also glad I did experience feeling as if I was drowning while everybody else was floating in the sea of life. Yes, I am glad about it. Because it taught me that it wasn't everything in life. Looking back, I feel as if I was such a baka for having dem dark thoughts but then again, I couldn't help it because failures happened in succession for a year. Flash forward, I am still alive and daresay it made me stronger. I know this won't be the last I fall to depression. However, if there will be a next time, I will have better handling of it and battle my demons better.

I wanna take this opportunity to tell anyone feeling down and trapped in a tunnel, been looking for the light but can't see it. Don't. Give. Up! Endure. It is always sunny. The sun is always up there. You may not see it because of the thick, black clouds... but know that it shines brightly all the time and never fails. At the right moment, its light will reach you. Just, for now, weather the storm. You'll bounce back as a survivor.
